Service Description
Professional supervision is a structured and collaborative process in which Rebecca supports, guides, and oversees the work of a supervisee, The purpose of supervision is to enhance the supervisee’s professional skills, ensure ethical practice, provide emotional support, and promote ongoing learning and development. Supervision can serve multiple functions: Supportive Function: Providing emotional support and managing stress related to professional responsibilities. Educational Function: Offering feedback and guidance to develop skills and expand knowledge. Administrative Function: Ensuring compliance with professional standards, organisational policies, and ethical guidelines. Our Clinical Supervision Service is designed to support professionals in healthcare, social work, and other caring professions by providing structured, reflective supervision using the Hawkins and Shohet Seven-Eyed Model. This model ensures a comprehensive and integrative approach to supervision, addressing multiple aspects of professional practice. Key Areas of Focus: Client and Practitioner Interaction – Exploring the direct work between the professional and the client. Practitioner’s Strategies and Interventions – Evaluating the techniques and approaches used in practice. Client’s Perspective – Understanding the experience and response of the client. Supervisee’s Self-Reflection – Examining the practitioner’s emotional responses and personal impact. Supervisory Relationship – Enhancing communication and support between supervisor and supervisee. Organisational and Systemic Influences – Addressing workplace challenges, policies, and dynamics. Wider Context – Considering external factors such as social, cultural, and ethical influences.
